Before/After care
To help you achieve that flawless glow you have been looking for
Before Your session
Take a shower at least 3 hours before your session
Shave, wax, exfoliate the skin at least 24 hours prior to appointment
Do not use lotion, gel, wax, shaving cream or other oil based products as they could leave residues on the skin and prevent the solution from developing correctly
Do not wear makeup, cream, spf, perfume or deodorant the day of appointment
Moisturize the skin days prior the session (not the day of the appointment)
The application can be can be done with or without undergarments or bathing suit
We recommend to wear loose and dark colored clothing when leaving your appointment
After the session
Avoid activities that prevoke sweating on any contact with liquid during the development period
Do not apply cream, or makeup on the skin during the development period
If you will be sleeping with solution on; go to bed wearing long clothes
Wait 8-12 hours or 1-5 hours before showering, depending on the solution. Refer to your spray tan artist for appropriate rinse time
Rinse the whole body and face thoroughly. Rinse until the water is clear. For the first shower we recommend not using soap
Moisturize the skin daily with an appropriate lotion
Excessive sweating, jacuzzis or saunas, taking long hot showers or baths often can cause faster fading
Do not wax areas where solution has been applied for the duration of the result. A delicate shave may be done occasionally
Use gentle facial cleansers, not oil-based or exfoliating products
Avoid lotion, soap, and body wash containing mineral oils, petroleum, and alcohol. These ingredients can affect the result and cause faster fading
Do not exfoliate the skin for the duration of the result. When the tan starts to fade, exfoliate the skin again in order to remove the old tan residues

Avoid these for 24 hours before your tan and for the entire life of your tan.
Body Washes: Dove, Olay, or any "creamy" moisturizing washes (they leave a film that blocks the tan).
Ingredients to Avoid: Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), and Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs).
Face: Anti-aging or acne products containing Retin-A, Salicylic Acid, or Glycolic Acid (these will "eat" the tan off your face).
Physical: Loofahs, washcloths, or aggressive scrubbing after the tan is applied.

These specific lines are generally safe because they are sulfate-free and don't leave a heavy wax or oil "film" on the skin.
Native Body Wash: Stick to the Coconut & Vanilla or Unscented versions. They are highly rated by tanning pros for being sulfate-free and "residue-free."
Method Men: Surprisingly, the Method Men line (like Sea + Surf) is often safer than the women's line because it is a clear gel and less "creamy."
Aveeno: Only the Daily Moisturizing Body Wash (the clear gel). It is soap-free and dye-free, making it gentle enough for the tan.
CeraVe: Their Soothing Body Wash or Hydrating Body Wash are "holy grail" products for many spray tan artists.
